On Friday November 30 the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released the prepublication drafts of Massachusetts' first Model Curriculum Units at http://www.doe.mass.edu/candi/mcu/landing.html. These units are based on the Understanding by Design model of Jay McTighe and Grant Wiggins, the curriculum model outlined in the Understanding by Design Guide to Creating High-Quality Units distributed on the first day of school.
